Appeal of Human Rights Defender Suffers Setbacks

Hajum Gaye, counsel defending the Human Rights activist Edwin Nebolisa Nwakaeme, who was earlier convicted by the Banjul Magistrates court on a charge of giving false information to a public officer, has filed an appeal at the High Court in Banjul to challenge the conviction and sentencing of the accused person.
